About Vfane
Vfane is a free contractor matchmaker for residential roofing in Houston, TX. We help homeowners find trustworthy contractors — and help honest contractors prove they are trustworthy.
The problem we solve
After every major storm in Houston, transient contractors flood the market. They knock on doors, offer fast repairs, and disappear before the warranty matters. Homeowners have no way to tell them apart from the honest contractors who have been building in Houston for decades.
At the same time, established contractors are stuck competing on advertising spend instead of work quality. They pay $15-100+ per shared lead on platforms that sell the same homeowner to 8 different companies. The race to the bottom hurts everyone.

Education first
Vfane's AI assistant helps homeowners figure out what to ask before they pick a contractor. Not sure if you need a repair or a replacement? Ask it — it explains the basics in plain language, and it is not professional advice.
Pillar verification
Every contractor displays a pillar-level verification profile drawn from public business records — certifications and entity standing. No one can buy a better pillar.
Positive-only reviews
Contractors compete on the number of homeowners who vouch for them. Vfane's formats collect agree-only confirmations, fixed positive tags, and free-text accounts — there are no star ratings and no negative-rating options.

How Trust Pillars work
Every contractor on Vfane selects the trust pillars that represent their real strengths from a 12-pillar pool — covering business foundation, technical excellence, customer experience, and reputation. Each verified pillar is independently checked by Vfane against a named source — government records, official directories, public platforms, or documentation the contractor submits for review. Homeowners see how many pillars are verified — never a single score.
